OUR HISTORY

Founded in 1948 by John Macuch and his sons Edward, Morton, and Edwin, Macuch Steel Products began as an ornamental iron fabricator. In the early 1950s, we expanded into structural steel, and by the 1960s, we added rebar fabrication to our services. The late 1970s and 1980s saw significant growth in our rebar division, including the addition of concrete embeds. Throughout the 1990s, our structural steel fabrication capabilities expanded further. In 2001, we acquired EMCO Metal Products, Inc. to enhance our fabrication services and capacity.

The formation of Shewmake Steel Erection, Inc. in 2002 provided an in-house solution for erecting our fabricated structural steel. In 2004, we established Southeastern Stair and Rail to supply miscellaneous steel products. By 2007, we had developed Macuch Structural Steel Detailing In House, offering detailed structural and miscellaneous steel services. Today, as a fourth-generation family-owned company, The Macuch Family of Steel is proud to provide comprehensive solutions for steel fabrication and installation.
